Abstract School shootings are not a new-found issue in society, although they have increased within the last three decades. The majority of school shootings, or mass shootings, are happening within the high-school age bracket. Student’s that have been victims of school shootings are begging for a change and to be heard.

By analyzing the crisis of a school shooting, this paper will lay out the practical steps in preparing schools, communities, and local agencies for a tragedy that has already shook many communities across the nation. This paper will also follow the steps necessary to implement and evaluate a school shooting preparedness plan.

In fact, my thesis statement for this for argumentative essay is stricter gun control laws should be enacted and implemented if the United States is to solve the problem of mass shootings and reduce crime within its borders. My essay is divided into three basic parts, the introduction, the body and the conclusion.
